This project started out as a Remington 700. Everythng but the receiver & bolt were tossed out and the project began. The gentleman that ordered this wanted a long-range varmint/predator gun. We ordered a 28" Krieger heavy contour stainless steel barrel, which we then fluted, threaded, chambered, cut to length and crowned. It was installed with a Tubb recoil lug after truing and accurizing the action. A muzzle brake was also machined and installed at the request of the customer. After all the machine work was completed, the complete barreled action was sent to be cryogenically treated.
After the stock arrived, it was fully epoxy bedded & free-floated, sling swivel studs were installed, body work was completed and a recoil pad was installed. A catalyzed acrylic enamel black paint was applied per the customer's request.
A Horus Vision scope was supplied to us and we mounted it using Badger Ordnance rings on a Nightforce long-range base. An oversize Badger bolt knob was installed as well.
